'The Bachelorette' 2016 updates: JoJo Fletcher already has first kiss

The Bachelorette - JoJo Fletcher ABC

Right after "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" aired, ABC began production on the 12th season of "The Bachelorette" with JoJo Fletcher as the lead. Right from the very first day of shooting, producer Mike Fleiss has been giving out updates via Twitter, reports Hollywood Life, including the revelation that Fletcher has had her first kiss on the show.

It was previously reported that Caila Quinn would be the lead but she was dropped by the producers at the last minute. This allowed Fletcher to step up to take her place, and according to the report, she is taking this very seriously, aiming to find love after breaking up with "The Bachelor" star Ben Higgins, who is now engaged to Lauren Bushnell.

One of Fleiss's early tweets revealed that some of the 20 men now on the show courting Fletcher are a little too clingy and somewhat a little too excited to get with her. Fleiss even revealed that one of the guys on the show copied something that Fletcher once did when she was gunning for Ben Higgins.

However, the highlight of Fleiss's tweets was when he revealed that Fletcher has had her first kiss on the first night of shooting. To date, Fleiss has revealed that Fletcher has shared three kisses with the men she's been going out with and that she has had a group date along with one one-on-one date thus far.

Fleiss also revealed that a good majority of the men this season are bearded and that it might be a matter of time before Fletcher asks one of them to shave as part of their date. How this will play out has yet to be revealed, although fans figure it may be a game activity during one of the group dates.

"The Bachelorette" season 12 will officially air this May 23.
