'Switched at Birth' season 4 spoilers: Bay goes far for love in episode 18

Switched at Birth ABC

"Switched at Birth" season 4 episode 18, titled "The Accommodations of Desire," will focus primarily on Bay (Vanessa Marano) as she debates on whether or not she's ready to get into a relationship with Garrett (Nyle DiMarco). As pointed out in a report from Cartermatt, this might not lead to good results.

Bay did go through rough times in terms of relationships, particularly after the incident she had with Tank (Max Adler) and her recent break-up with Emmett (Sean Berdy) which is reportedly why Bay might take it as a good step to throw herself out there in the dating world and get into a relationship as quickly as she can.

The promotional trailer showcases that her decision to do whatever it takes to be in a relationship will make her friends questions her actions, and Bay will even get into a heated argument with Travis (Ryan Lane).

While Bay debates about her love interests and whether or not Garrett is the right choice at this moment, Daphne (Katie LeClerc) will experience tensions with Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch) due to her correspondence with Quinn.

Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) will also be given some of the spotlight in this episode as they begin to prepare themselves to become parents while Toby's parents, John (D.W. Moffett) and Kathryn (Lea Thompson) start to look into new financial opportunities.

There aren't that many episodes left for season 4, and the report does state that it is unlikely the show will end with a major cliffhanger, at least in regard to Toby and the decisions he and Lily will make together as new parents. It is still possible that a cliffhanger regarding Bay or Daphne will occur, with the seeds for the event being planted in this episode.

"Switched at Birth" season 4 episode 18's title is a reference to the 1929 painting by Salvador Dali, "The Accomodations of Desire." It airs this Oct. 12.
