'Supergirl' crossover episode with 'The Flash' and 'Arrow' coming soon?

 CBS

Ever since "Supergirl" aired on CBS there have been rumors and talks of the show eventually doing a crossover with "The Flash" and "Arrow," shows on the CW network. Executive producer Greg Berlanti works on all three shows, and speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he finally gives some insight regarding a potential crossover.

"I would love it, a lot of things would have to go right and people would have to say 'Yes.' It would have to be figured out very soon. It would all have to be figured out in the next month or so," Berlanti stated in the report. It is likely that the deadline is posted since all three shows are almost done with their ongoing seasons.

Berlanti also confirmed that despite how the producers, within their own departments, have been stating how "cool" it would be for the shows to intersect, there have been no official conversations to verify if a crossover is really on the table. However, Berlanti did state that CW's Mark Pedowitz is supportive of the notion.

As it stands, the public will be aware of a crossover within the next month or so if in case it does get officially tackled by the different studios within the time frame Berlanti stated. If it happens, then a crossover will occur much earlier than expected. Of course, there is the possibility that CBS and the CW will not cooperate and no crossover will happen.

He then commented that even if a crossover would happen, the shows would have to address a few continuity concerns regarding the different stories. For one thing, Superman exists in "Supergirl" but has never been mentioned in either "The Flash" or "Arrow."

Speaking to Variety, Pedowitz echoed Berlanti's statements and affirmed that everyone involved in the three shows are willing to go for a crossover but the problem is if the people involved can find the time to do so amidst all the scheduling for their individual shows. All of the actors and crew must also sign on for the crossover as well.
