'Street Fighter 5' server issues: Matchmaking now back in order, says Capcom

Capcom has fixed the Ranked and Casual matchmaking for "Street Fighter 5," according to the developer's latest progress report. The game studio has been working around the clock ever since the faulty launch of the fighting game early this week.

According to the "Street Fighter 5" developer, the aforesaid matchmaking modes are now "working as intended for most users." In fact, Capcom assures that players can get to matches "much faster" than ever, thanks to some additional fine-tuning they performed.

While a number of gamers would be lucky enough to say goodbye to these annoying hiccups, Capcom poses a caveat that not every "Street Fighter 5" player have the same fate. So if the issues persist, Capcom would like it for users to shoot them a message.

Meanwhile, those who were experiencing problems with the Battle Lounges should be able to get to them with ease now. The same goes for Fighter ID Search, which players have been complaining about for failing to show newly created accounts.

Overall, "Street Fighter 5" matchmaking should now be a breeze for majority of players. They can expect being able to find opponents with the same level of skills as theirs but it is important to note that the number of matches a gamer can get into varies by region.

Looking at the comment section of Capcom's progress report, players complain that it takes a while to find a match. One says it took 30 minutes max and another it takes around a lot shorter – nine minutes but a connection error terminates the match.

Others grumble that they get the same error. But as Capcom assured, not all "Street Fighter 5" players will experience the improvement yet but it is still working on it.

In related "Street Fighter" news, a Reddit user has found a way to bring back R. Mika's bottom slap animation, which Capcom chose to remove from the game, earning backlash from a good chunk of players.
