"Stranger Things" season 2 continues to grow with more cast members being added. Just recently, Sean Astin, Dacre Montgomery, and Sadie Sink were added, and now, reports reveal that comedian-actor Brett Gelman will join the show as well.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this casting comes shortly after Gelman cut his ties with Adult Swim. For several years, he called the network his home, releasing series such as "Eagleheart" and "Brett Gelman's Dinner in America."

Gelman will be playing Murray Bauman, a disgraced journalist who has now become a conspiracy theorist. He is described as an inquisitive type of character who is currently investigating a case that has gone cold in Hawkins, Indiana. This is the same setting as the first season, and his investigations are likely tied to the first season's events.

Whether he will be helping the main characters or serving as an outside observer to the events that follow is yet to be seen.

Unfortunately, the plot details for season 2 remain scarce, and little is known about it, except that it will continue to follow the lives of the four children that the first season focused on. However, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is returning, despite her character presumably getting killed in the previous season's finale.

"There's definitely a handful of really compelling new characters this season, but absolutely servicing the core group first and foremost," explained executive producer Shawn Levy. "Like the show itself, it's multigenerational new characters and really, really intriguing ones."

Season 1 was widely praised as one of the best Netflix originals of the year. While Netflix has yet to reveal how well the show performed, it is widely speculated to have exceeded the producers' estimates.

No official release date has been announced as of writing. Given that season 1 premiered in July, it is expected that season 2 will launch approximately the same time next year. The show is already in production, and it may be able to meet its summer 2017 target premiere date.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
