Star Wars episode 7 cast rumors: WWE champion Sheamus to be Darth Vader?

In a Twitter post by WWE champion Sheamus, Star Wars fans are given a hint on who might be playing the highly acclaimed role of Darth Vader.

"On way to #skelligmichael today stopped off at the #cliffsofmoher #ireland," Sheamus captioned the photo.

In another Twitter post, Sheamus appeared to be teasing Star Wars fans by sharing an ambiguous hint.

"I can't confirm that I won't not be reprising role of Darth Vader in #StarWars ... I hope that's clear @IrishMirror ;)," the WWE star posted.

This is in connection with a report from the Irish Mirror, which revealed that the wrestling champion and Skellig Michael have been together during the production period of the "Star Wars Episode 7". Presumably, the article hinted that Sheamus was part of the cast.

"A long time in the future, in a cinema not far away, the former Dublin choirboy turned champion grappler could appear in Star Wars as Darth Vader," stated the Irish Mirror article. The report further revealed that Sheamus took the role of Darth Vader in promotional tours.

Apart from the famed WWE champion, John Boyega is rumored to be playing a storm trooper deserter. These speculations were rooted from the spoiler posted by Badass Digest.

However, creators of the site immediately clarified speculations surrounding the revelation of Boyega's part in the episode.

"In case you're unsure about the information I've been sharing, know this: Boyega as storm trooper is the single most confirmed piece of news I've ever written about in terms of sheer volume of independent sources who agree. All aspects of this Star Wars information has been vetted by multiple people, but the Boyega stuff has been repeated and confirmed to me by so many people now that it's almost comical," Badass Digest disclosed.

In an interview with Vulture, another member of the cast, Simon Pegg, might have been revealed.

"Well, J.J. uses me in different roles, and we're good friends," Pegg shared.

"I feel like my face in Star Wars would pop people out of the movie. Look, I love Star Wars, and I don't want people to watch and go, Oh, there's Simon Pegg's face. The film is cleverly cast with these amazing, unknown actors," he further divulged.

"Of course I visited the set," Pegg admitted.

"It's amazing, and I love Star Wars. I want to see everything happening. It looks wonderful, and you need to believe those characters. Any type of stunt casting might just pop you out of the movie," the actor described.

"Star Wars Episode 7" is set to be released on December 18, 2015.
