Sony Xperia Z3X benchmark: Hardware improvements for latest flagship phone

As Sony seeks to develop and unveil their flagship devices, the company has reportedly been focusing on the Xperia Z3X, as pointed out in a recent AnTuTu benchmark listing.

Sony has only made the Xperia Z2 available this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, and further launched the Xperia Z3 after six months.

Now, the newest Xperia Z3X has been reported to come with an impressive design as well as unique specs and features because of its many hardware improvements, although it may not be as exceptional as one of its predecessors, the Xperia Z2.

The Xperia Z3X was first seen on the AnTuTu benchmark database and, if such listing could be confirmed, the smartphone will boast a wide range of high-quality hardware specs.

Sony's Xperia Z3X is said to come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with a Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM. Moreover, the phone will provide a 2560 x 1600 resolution in its huge 6.2-inch display.

Aside from these specifications, the Xperia Z3X may run on the Android 4.4.2. KitKat, although it has been speculated that the AnTuTu benchmark may only be showing a test device. As such, the final smartphone may be made available with the latest Android L.

In addition, engineers from Sony claimed a couple of months ago that they have come up with a set of curved CMOS (complementary-symmetry metal-oxide-semiconductor) image sensors through the use of a bending machine. With this news, rumors have highlighted the possibility of such technology being incorporated into the forthcoming Xperia Z3X.

Aside from these basic hardware and software information, there have been no more details about the Xperia Z3X from Sony. An official announcement is yet to be released by Sony with regards to the development of such device, possibly on the next MWC 2015 as what it did for the Xperia Z2 at the MWC 2014.
