Sony Xperia Z3 vs Galaxy Note 4 specs comparison: Which Android smartphone ruled the IFA 2014?

Two smartphones took the first day of the IFA 2014 by storm. Samsung and Sony were among the companies to present their devices to the world.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Sony Xperia Z3 were officially announced and the two handsets used their specs and features to battle for the attention of attendees. Below is the comparison between Sony Xperia Z3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 based on the features presented at the IFA 2014.

Screen Display

The Sony Xperia Z3 offers a 5.2-inch Full HD screen panel. The display also boasts Sony's Triluminos Display for mobile and X-Reality image enhancement technology. Samsung Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, comes with a 5.7-inch screen display with Quad HD pixel resolution.

Processor

Sony Xperia Z3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with a 3GB RAM. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come in two variants with one of the models coming with a quad-core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, while the other variant includes a 64-bit enabled octo-core Exynos 5433 chipset with quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex A57 and quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53 CPUs.

Operating System

Both smartphones will come with the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS.

Internal Storage

Sony Xperia Z3 comes with 16GB and 32GB of internal storages with a microSD slot feature of up to 128GB for additional storage. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available in 32GB storage with a microSD slot of up to 64GB.

Camera

Sony Xperia Z3 comes with a 20.7 MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash 1/2.3'' sensor size, ISO 12,800, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, image stabilization, HDR, and panorama. The handset will also pack a 2.2 MP front facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand comes with a 16 MP rear shooter and 3.7 MP front camera with optical image stabilization, autofocus, and LED flash.

Battery

The two smartphones offer over 3,000 mAh battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is supported by a 3,220 mAh battery pack.
