Sony Xperia Z3 vs iPhone 6: Which is the ideal device?

With Sony's Xperia Z3 and Apple's iPhone 6 being launched recently, fans and users have been constantly comparing the two devices in terms of its design, features, and everything in between.

While the Xperia Z3 and iPhone 6 have similar screens with sizes that are almost identical to each other, Sony's offering has been said to be "chunkier" but can easily be gripped even by small hands. Its glossy design makes the phone vulnerable to smudges and scratches but its colorful variants make the device more vibrant and appealing to many.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 boasts a metallic finish with rounder edges, which is expected to protect the phone from scratches and marks. Reviews, however, have pointed out that the Xperia Z3 may be more useful in terms of design because of its waterproof protection and impact-resistant corners.

When it comes to performance, the Xperia Z3 and the iPhone 6 have been praised for their processing powers. However, while both phones can carry out multi-tasking, the Xperia Z3 is the only one capable of running two applications alongside each other.

Even when regularly used, both devices boast a significant improvement in battery life compared to their predecessors as users can enjoy up to two days of use from either the Xperia Z3 or iPhone 6.

In terms of camera, positive reviews have been raked in for the two devices. The 20.7-megapixel camera of the Xperia Z3 has been found to be capable of generating crisp images even in dim backgrounds while the phone itself is incorporated with a wide range of reality modes and editing tools.

Impressive features have also been incorporated into the iPhone 6 with which its 8-megapixel iSight camera can do extremely well when it comes to HDR and slow modes.

For the apps present in the phones, both of these devices have extensive content, although the App Store has often been known to have the first offerings when it comes to entertainment and creative software while Google Play follows. Playing games on the Xperia Z3 has never been better as the Remote Play feature enables users to stream their content from the PS4 to their Xperia Z3.

Both devices also offer support for 4G in order to allow faster surfing and streaming; the Xperia Z3 and iPhone 6 also have built-in NFC.

Looking into these recently launched phones, both the Xperia Z3 and the iPhone 6 each have their own pros and cons that fans and users can consider in purchasing the ideal smartphone to suit their needs and expectations.
