Once a month, PlayStation Plus members get access to free games on multiple PlayStation Consoles. This time, members will be able to grab free "Smite" downloadable content (DLC) for the PlayStation 4.

The free DLC pack was released on Dec. 12 and will be up for grabs until Jan. 9, 2018. The DLC pack is mostly composed of cosmetic items and new playable characters. According to Game Spot, PS Plus members can expect 31 new skins, 20 new Gods, new voice packs, and a Khepri Announcer pack.

The Khepri Announcer pack contains new lines for the announcer to yell out in game.

"Smite" is a free-to-play, third-person, arena game. Developed by Microsoft, it is a beat-them-up brawler that pits players against each other. However, despite being a fighting game, "Smite" has several different modes to keep the gameplay fresh and the players interested. There are team battles where players are grouped into teams and where they must work together to defeat opposing teams.

The characters in "Smite" are known as Gods. Players choose between different Gods, each with different attack moves. There are plenty of Gods to choose from, meaning that players will have different options and can settle for the playable character that fits their unique play style the most.

"Smite" was released in 2014 for the PC, 2015 for the Xbox One, and 2016 for the PS4.

Aside from the opportunity to get their hands on a free "Smite" DLC pack. PS Plus members can also get their hands on several other goodies this holiday season.

Included in the free games PS Plus December package are: post-apocalyptic RPG game "Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition," and the more light-hearted "Kung-Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends."

While "Darksiders II: The Deathinitive Edition" is a game about the four horsemen of the apocalypse and the destruction of humanity and the world. "Kung-Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends" is a cute Tekken-styled fighting game that is based on the movie, "Kung-Fu Panda."
