The Samsung Galaxy S6 is set for release in 2015's first quarter.

The phone will include features such as a 4K screen display and metal casing.

The Samsung Galaxy S smartphones were launched in the first quarter of the year. In the past, the Mobile World Congress trade show has been the launching platform of Samsung Galaxy S smartphones. Thus, the next handset will come in the event next year.

Most analysts believe that the Galaxy S6 will come with enhanced specs and features that will surely exceed consumers' expectations. Meanwhile, some reports claim that the company is experiencing pressure to impress waiting Samsung fans and make a mark on the market.

According to rumors, the Galaxy S6 smartphone will come with a screen display with 4K pixel resolution as well as a metal casing. The recently released Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a metal body, steering away from the usual plastic casing of previous Galaxy S handsets.

Other rumored features of the Galaxy S6 are a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 processor with 64-bit architecture. The handset will also come with an Adreno 430 graphics chip to support high-resolution images and videos. The new hardware is reported to be 30 percent faster in terms of performance compared to the previous handset. These will support the rumored power-hogging features of the smartphone.

Samsung announced that the Galaxy Alpha handset will include specs and features that may qualify it as a flagship smartphone. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner, ultra power saving mode, S Health, and connectivity support for Galaxy Gear.

The company is also set to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 next month, which is the next generation of Samsung's phablet. The Galaxy Note 4 is set for release Sept. 3.
