The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date will most likely happen in April next year, according to the latest rumors.

The South Korean company will probably follow its usual release date for its Galaxy S smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S5 was announced in February this year and was made available for purchase in April. In the past, the Mobile World Congress trade show has been the launching platform of Samsung Galaxy S smartphones. Thus, the next handset will come in the said event next year.

Previous rumors stated that the company will release the device earlier than expected due to the reports that Samsung is suffering low sales, due to the waning popularity of Samsung smartphones.

Analysts think that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 will pack upgraded specs and features that will surpass the expectations of the consumers. Samsung is feeling a lot of pressure in impressing the buyers.

Rumors claimed that the handset will pack a slightly larger screen display of 5.2 or 5.3 inches in size with 4K or 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution that will yield to clearer and more vivid pictures. The smartphone will be encased in a metal body, dropping the usuals plastic casing of Samsung Galaxy S smartphones.

Other rumored features of the Samsung Galaxy S6 are Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 chipset with 64-bit architecture. The handset will also have a co-processor Adreno 430 GPU to support high res images and videos and 4GB RAM. The handset will run with the upcoming Android 5.0 L OS, which is coming in October. At the back, many are expecting at least a 20 MP camera. As for the pricing, the rumored handset will cost roughly the same as its predecessor.

However, nothing is official yet until Samsung announces the details of its smartphone and its roadmap.
