Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may beat the upcoming iPhone 6 phablet on their alleged release date in September.

Samsung Electronics has not announced the concrete release date of the next generation of its Galaxy Note smartphone, but reports said that the device will be unveiled in September just like its predecessors. Surprisingly, Apple will allegedly release its first phablet in the same month.

Samsung pioneered the phablet market by introducing a smartphone-tablet hybrid that fit the needs of some professionals in the business sector. Apple seemed to see the potential of the market and planned to release its own version of the device. Both devices will battle head on later this year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is rumored to pack a 5.5 inches Super AMOLED screen display with 2K pixel resolution. According to Samsung4Note, the device will also sport a quad core Snapdragon 810 processor with 64-bit architecture and clocked at 2.5GHz or an Exynos chipset. The device will run with either the Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS or Android 4.5 Lollypop. The device may also include water and dust resistant feature as well as a fingerprint sensor. It will also pack its signature S-Pen stylus.

Apple's iPhone 6 phablet, on the other hand, will allegedly pack 5.5 inch screen panel with 2272×1280 resolution and will run with the upcoming iOS 8. Chinese analyst Sun Chang Xu believed that Apple would introduce sensors to the smartphone that can detect pressure, temperature and humidity.

As for the release date of the two devices, Trusted Reviews reported that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch will be held at the IFA tech event set to be held Sept. 4 to 20 in Berlin, Germany. The trade show has been the launching platform of the Galaxy Note series. Meanwhile, iPhone 6 phablet was rumored to be released in September, a month after the 4.7 inch iPhone's supposed launch. Consumers may have a hard time choosing a device in fall.
