Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date may happen on September 25, according to an image found on a German patent.

PhoneArena cited web site Samdownloads that published a lock screen image of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from a German patent. The photo reportedly hinted the launch date of the tablet-smartphone hybrid. On the lock screen, the date September 25 was displayed on it, which immediately sparked rumors that spread like wildfire.

This coincides with previous speculations from various industry sources who claimed that the fourth generation of the Samsung Galaxy Note handset will be released on the aforementioned date.

Aside from the alleged release date, the report continued that the next-gen phablet will have a new lock screen. Based on the image, users will have to swipe his/her finger away from the center in order to unlock the phone.

Previous reports claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will enter mass production in June-July timeframe to ensure that the device will hit the shelves by September. It was initially speculated that the Galaxy Note 4 will be released at its usual platform – at the IFA event in Berlin, which was set on the first week of September.

Some of the rumored specs and features of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are: quadHD screen display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, 64-bit processor, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat operating system, 3GB RAM, 3 megapixel front-facing camera.

It is most likely that the handset will be available in two variants equipped with two different processors just like the previous generations of the smartphone. The international version distributed in Asia and Europe will come with Exynos chipset, while the handset being sold to U.S. will pack the latest Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor.

Other rumors suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be launched alongside a myriad of other Samsung devices such as a new series of curved OLED TVs, next generation of Samsung Galaxy Gear, and another Samsung wearable dubbed as Gear Glass, according to The Korea Times. There were also speculations that the premium Samsung Galaxy F, also known as Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, will appear at the same event.
