Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch draws closer as phablet enters mass production - report

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date will come pretty soon as a new report claimed that they will be mass produced in the June-July time frame.

According to Korean news source News Tomato citing stakeholders as well as Wireless Division (IM) staff of Samsung, the company is set to release its new phablet in either August or September. The report continued that the phablet will be released worldwide at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. Thus, the June-July time frame allotted for mass production will ensure that the handset will be in shelves by the speculated release date.

The report also stated that the South Korean tech company is rushing the release of the fourth generation of Samsung Galaxy Note series due to the unsatisfactory reports and poor sales of Samsung Galaxy S5. The Korean media source claimed that this year's device may follow last year's patterns wherein the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 made up for the spiraling sales of Galaxy S4.

The report revealed some of the alleged specs and features of the phablet such as quadHD screen display (2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution), 64-bit processor, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat operating system, 3GB RAM, 3 megapixel front-facing camera.

According to the report, the tablet-smartphone hybrid will come in two variants sporting different processors just like its predecessors. It was supposed that the international version distributed in Asia and Europe will come with Exynos chipset, while the handset being sold to U.S. will pack the latest Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor. The report also cited AnTuTu benchmark database, which showed two products of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4: SM-N910S and SM-N910C.

Rumors suggested that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be launched alongside a myriad of Samsung devices such as a new series of curved OLED TVs, next generation of Samsung Galaxy Gear, and another Samsung wearable dubbed as Gear Glass, according to The Korea Times. There were also speculations that the premium Samsung Galaxy F, also known as Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, will appear at the same event.
