Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 release date may happen very soon as the alleged features of the smartphone leaked online.

Samsung Galaxy Mega stirred the market last year as a massive smartphone at a very friendly price. Some of the important specs and features of the handset leaked because a pre-production unit appeared online in the GFXbench test results.

According to the GFXbench, the device with model number SM-G7508 includes a 5.9 inch screen display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS, 12 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC.

If rumors proved to be true and the device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, it will be the first Samsung smartphone sport a 64-bit chipset. Moreover, the device is surely enough to be upgraded to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS, although Android L could also be a possibility.

Unfortunately, there is no word yet on the official release date and price of the Galaxy Mega 2. It is already past the first year anniversary of the previous Galaxy Mega handsets. The smartphone line is known as the cheaper version of the high end Samsung Galaxy Note series.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is pegged for release in September at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin. Rumors claimed that the new Note handset will pack a 5.7 inch screen panel. The report added that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be offered in two variants: one with the standard AMOLED display with flat screen, and the other model will also sport the same AMOLED screen but with a curved display.

Other rumored features of the alleged phablet include: Snapdragon 805 SoC with four Krait 450 cores clocked at 2.7 GHz and Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, fingerprint sensor and an upgraded S Pen stylus. At the back, the smartphone will also pack a 16 MP ISOCELL back camera. The smartphone was speculated to come with Android L.
