'Rookie Blue' season 6 premiere date, spoilers: 'Perfect family'

The second half of "Rookie Blue" season 5 is officially labeled as season 6. The premiere episode, "Perfect Family," will pick up a month following the bombing incident in the evidence room and will establish new levels of tension within the team, particularly for Andy and Sam.

Rookie Blue season 6 Global

Last season, Andy decided to choose Sam instead of their other Division 15 co-worker, detective Nick. However, just when things were going nice and easy, Marlo came back and declared that she's pregnant with Sam's child. This is going to shake the Andy-and-Sam relationship to new heights and it is possible that the relationship may cut off early.

"Perfect Family" will show Andy and Sam getting back to work but Andy gets attacked while at Traci's and now the Sex Crime Unit department decides to step in and take over the case. Sam and the rest of Division 15 will have to figure out if they should or should not force matters back into their own hands.

According to a report from Enstarz, series co-creator, executive producer, and writer Tessie Cameron said that the bombing incident is still affecting all of their lives. While some have moved on, others are still troubled by the fact that they don't know who was responsible for it in the first place.

Cameron also teased that this will be the beginning of a new arc where the Division has to face off against an "enemy from within," hinting that one of the Division 15 members is betraying the rest of the group.

Newcomers to the show are Oliver Becker and Matt Murray who portray Inspector John Jarvis and Rookie Duncan Moore, respectively.

"Perfect Family" season 6 will air in Canada on May 21 while it will premiere in the United States on June 25, the first time that Canada will air the show ahead of its U.S. counterpart.
