'Resident Evil 7: Biohazard' updates: glimpses of gameplay in two new teasers

Two new videos for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" have been released, once again showcasing new elements of gameplay and the dark themes of the title. One showcases how herbs are utilized in the game, and the other reveals one of the menacing enemies gamers will have to deal with.

The first video, which is the fifth in the series of short trailers launched by Capcom, is titled "Survival," and it shows the main character with a badly wounded hand. The first-person vision is also slightly blurry, and the edges of the screen are covered in blood to indicate that the main character is injured.

In the video, the character walks up to a locker and finds a green herb. In the previous games, the herb was a healing item, and it will serve the same function in "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." The player is then shown opening their inventory and then combining the green herb with a tonic, making it more potent.

When using the herb, the character is shown opening the tonic and then pouring the contents, which have already been combined with the herb, on to his wounded hand. This indicates that the game uses an injury system akin to "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" or "Far Cry 3" where injuries are seen in different parts of the body.

The other video titled "Immortal" shows the main character fighting what looks like an old man armed with a spiked club. After taking a hit, the character takes his handgun and fires at the enemy. The enemy goes down, and the video shows that the body even has accurate bullet wounds, showcasing where the player had fired.

However, it is later shown that this enemy gets back up on their feet, further implying this creature is immortal. In many ways, this may be compared to the villain Nemesis from "Resident Evil 3." Nemesis could be taken down with enough firepower but could not be killed until the end of the game.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is scheduled to roll out on Jan. 24 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
