The sequel to the breakout hit, "Red Dead Redemption," has been the subject of rampant speculation despite the fact that the people actually behind the game have said relatively little about it.

The rumor mill keeps churning, however, and the latest chatter suggests that the game is already in development.

According to Latinos Post, even though Rockstar has yet to officially confirm any progress with regards to the second "Red Dead Redemption," the title is supposedly already in development, and it is even said to have an unofficial release window set right around October of next year.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know if such a rumor is true at this juncture, although Rockstar does figure to speak on the matter sooner rather than later.

In terms of other rumors related to the game, the upcoming title will reportedly feature three playable characters.

In "Red Dead Redemption 2," players will reportedly be given the chance to play as Jack Marston, the son of the original game's protagonist, and as two other characters named Irish and Seth.

Irish is supposedly a native of Kansas City, while Seth has moved to America from Ireland, according to Yibada.

No word yet on how the three characters could interact in the game or how they will figure into a larger storyline.

In related news, according to the lead multiplayer designer for the original "Red Dead Redemption" game, the title was supposedly never really considered for personal computer (PC), Gamespot reported.

Roberts went on to say that he was surprised when "Grand Theft Auto 5" ended up getting a PC version, and the reason that is significant is because that could mean that Rockstar could ultimately consider making the sequel to "Red Dead Redemption" available on PC as well.

With the success of "Grand Theft Auto 5" on PC, it would not at all be surprising to see the company attempt to duplicate that magic with another big-name sequel.
