"Prison Break" season 5 is still in production, but a few images shared by actor Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows, may already suggest how Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is going to break out of prison.

Purcell posted an image on Instagram back in July, revealing his character had a new tattoo on his left arm. The tattoo resembled a map, and it could possibly be some sort of map leading to the facility where Michael is being imprisoned.

A better look at the tattoo was then posted on Instagram three weeks ago, showcasing a large compass and several words that might be required to enter or get out of the prison, such as important passcodes and translations.

The IBTimes points out that this resembles a similar tactic used by Scofield back in season 1 when it was Burrows who was wrongfully imprisoned. Back then, Scofield had a blueprint of the prison etched onto his skin, and the group had to rely on it in order to break out.

It is hinted that this is how season 5 will play out, with Burrows maintaining the tattoo to keep track of where Scofield may be and how to help him get out before being executed, experimented on, or used by the enemy group. This will ensure that the fifth season will harken back to what made season 1 so popular back in the day.

A report from the Morning Ledger further points out that the map may be set somewhere in the Middle-East, given that the show is going to touch on the themes in connection to the ISA and ISIS as part of the story. The exact location is still unknown, although the series had filmed in Mexico as a stand-in for the desert.

"Prison Break" season 5 is set to premiere in Spring 2017 on FOX, although a more exact premiere date hasn't been announced as of the moment.
