Fox's hit series "Prison Break" is coming back for a fifth season, but avid fans of the show may be disappointed to learn that it will only feature nine episodes.

However, not all hope is lost as Wentworth Miller (who portrays Michael Scofield) himself hinted that the network could order more episodes if the show rakes in high ratings for its comeback, reported Jobs and Hire.

"I can tell you it's seven years later, and you can expect a lot more of the same things that you loved first time around. And it will also be quite different as the characters have changed, so my character in particular is no longer just a hero - he's a few other things as well. I think the fans will get a kick out of it," he teased.

Rumors are also circulating that the season may feature a major death, and many fans are assuming that it will be Michael's brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), who will stop at nothing to get his brother out of a Yemeni prison.

Earlier reports have revealed that contrary to the belief that Michael died to save Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) in the series finale, he actually survived and has gotten involved with terrorists connected with The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). In order to get out of prison, Lincoln and their group must undergo a very dangerous mission to save Michael, who helped his older brother escape in season one of "Prison Break."

Aside from Lincoln, it has also been rumored that Sara may be the one who dies this season after she decides to join the team in the mission to bust out Michael.

However, a reunion between the two may prove to be complicated as it is expected that Sara will be married to another man who has helped her raise her child with Michael. If she dies, it will guarantee that no happy ending will happen between the star-crossed lovers.
