Everyone in New York City and Washington D.C. must get ready because the Royal Couple are making their way to these cities for the first time ever. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's schedule is so packed, it's like one can't even drop a needle in between the places they need to go to. Nonetheless, knowing their itinerary should be able help anyone wanting to catch a glimpse of the young couple in real life.
Prince William and Kate's visit to America was officially announced last Friday. They will be in New York City from Dec. 7 to 9. However, Prince William will make a solo trip to Washington D.C. while Kate stays at NYC.
According to E! Online, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are making their way to the U.S. on behalf of the Royal Foundation's events and charities. Also, they will be attending other alumni events. Upon arriving in New York, William and Kate will visit the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and then, they will have dinner with the American Friends of the Royal Foundation.
On their second day in America, the prince will visit Washington for the anti-corruption conference to be held at the World Bank. He will discuss the "zero-tolerance" approach to illegal wildlife trade. As for the duchess who will remain in New York City, she will be visiting a local child development center with NYC First Lady Chirlane McCray. She will also have lunch with the British Consul General.
By night time, William will head back to New York where he and his wife will spend time watching an NBA game. This is how the Royals show support for the collaboration between the Royal Foundation, NBA and United for Wildlife.
On their last day, William and Kate will go to an event that celebrates local British talent as well as visit a youth organization in the city. They will cap off the night by taking part in their alma mater's 600th Anniversary Dinner to be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Prince George will not be joining his parents in United States. Given the hectic schedule, it's sensible that he simply stays in the palace.
