Premier Radio Duo Win Prestigious Jerusalem Award for HipRock UK Show

|PIC1|A Christian Hip Hop Radio has received the prestigious Jerusalem Award, beating BBC Radio 2, 3 and 4. Premier Radio’s HipRock UK programme is a Rock and R'n'B radio show broadcast weekly by Dave Rose and Bridgitte Tetteh to listners between the age of 18 to 24.

“HipRock is a great show and I'm honoured to have won this award with Dave,” said Tetteh. “We both put a lot of work into making sure the music and issues discussed are modern and relevant to young Christians so the show isn't just about the music, it's about the message too.”

Peter Kerridge, the chief executive of Premier Radio, said: "To be acknowledged by the Jerusalem Awards is a genuine honour. This year we're thrilled that Bridgitte and Dave's hard work, commitment and talents have been recognised in the Best Music catagory. Both Dave and Bridgitte are fine assets to Premier Radio's Programming Team and I look forward to their future with the station."

Justin Brierley, Breakfast Crew Presenter at Premier Radio, also won the award for young broadcaster 2005. He has previously won awards from the New York Festival Awards and the Andrew Cross Awards for his work at Premier.

HipRock UK is broadcast on Premier Radio each Saturday from 4.00 to 6.00pm. Dave Rose & Bridgitte Tetteh present the best new Christian rock, hip-hop, r'n'b, dance and pop, interview guests from around the world and keep listeners posted on the issues affecting their lives, like debt, relationships, sex and current affairs.
