Pope Francis delighted crowds once again when he gave two adorable boys a ride in his Popemobile.

A Spanish family on holiday in Rome had stopped off in St Peter's Square, Rome. Their two boys were shouting the Pope's name from the crowd when he surprised those gathered by stopping and inviting them to ride on the Popemobile with him, according to Rome Reports.

"We yelled 'Father Jorge!' And he gave us his hand and said come on up," the children said afterwards, according to Alateia.

The ride, which lasted about 10 minutes, was described by the family as a "moving experience".

Their mother said: "The kids were excited for the rest of the day, and I couldn't stop crying."

In his general audience, attended by more than 10,000 people, Pope Francis took as his theme the relationship between mercy and justice. "Only by responding with good can evil truly be conquered," he said.

The way of resolving conflicts within families, between spouses and between parents and children, was for the injured party to love the guilty and not wish to end the bond between them.

"But only in this way can justice triumph, as if the guilty party acknowledges the harm he has done and ceases to do so, the evil no longer exists and the unjust becomes just, as he has been forgiven and helped to find the way of good."
