'Pokemon Z' and 'Pokemon Go' release date announcement to be made in CoroCoro Magazine?

Legendary Pokemon Zygarde, the supposed main legendary that will be in Pokemon Z Nintendo

The latest Nintendo Direct has revealed that The Pokemon Company would be releasing the original three "Pokemon" games on the 3DS virtual console in 2016 but did not give any information regarding "Pokemon Go" or the highly speculated 3DS title "Pokemon Z." However, according to a report from Serebii, it is likely that information about the two games will release in the next issue of CoroCoro Magazine.

According to the report, the current issue of the magazine hints that big "Pokemon"-related news will be dropped in the December issue. Given that previous issues have been teasing the possible release of "Pokemon Z" with features focusing on new forms of Zygarde, it is highly speculated that the December issue will officially announce the game.

If the CoroCoro Magazine issue, which is scheduled to release on Dec. 15, will not focus on "Pokemon Z," it is also speculated to give further information regarding the already announced "Pokemon Go" which is set to release in 2016 for iOS and Android devices.

However, the report from Serebii does point out that December issues tend to focus more on "Pokemon" films that are set to release soon instead of video games. 2016 is set to launch the new season of the anime, dubbed "Pokemon XY and Z" so it is possible the issue will reveal details for the anime and not "Pokemon Go" or "Pokemon Z."

Back when "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" launched on the 3DS it was expected that the developers would release "Pokemon Z," which would serve as a refined version of both games, similar to what "Pokemon Yellow" was to "Pokemon Blue" and "Pokemon Red."

However, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company instead released a 3DS remake of "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire."

The developers have not yet announced if the next 3DS title will indeed be "Pokemon Z" or a direct sequel such as "Pokemon Black and White 2" or even an entirely new title altogether. It is likely that the December issue will finally shed some light on these rumors when it does release.
