PlayStation Store, Steam offer discounted games at end-of-the-year sale

Great news for everyone who missed the sales and gaming deals offered during the Black Friday and Christmas shopping festivities — PlayStation Store and Steam are both holding end-of-the-year sales for some of the new game titles. 

After holding the Holiday Sale that offered game titles at up to 65 percent off to non-members and up to 75 percent off to PS Plus members, PlayStation Store is now holding a flash sale that gives consumers discounts on some of the big game titles released this year. Gamers can get "Dragon Age: Inquisition," "Destiny," and "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" at a discounted price.

The sale will run until Dec. 29 at 9 a.m. Below are some of the discounted titles at the PlayStation Store:

Meanwhile, the Steam Holiday Sale is still ongoing and has been updated with new game titles to join the roster of discounted offerings. The sale offers "The Evil Within" for under $21, which is cheaper than PS Store's price. The newly released "Far Cry 4" now costs $48. "The Ultimate Street Fighter IV" is on sale at $18 and "Terraria" is available for $2. Steam's Holiday Sale is updated every 12 hours, but the featured game titles are available for 24 hours.

Those who are currently looking for PS4 and Xbox One deals can head to Amazon, Walmart or Best Buy as the retailers are offering discounts on the new gaming consoles.
