Following the release of two special downloadable content (DLC) for "Persona 5," Atlus reveals six additional DLC that add costumes and background music (BGM) to the game. Some of these are a call-back to the "Persona" franchise, and others are crossovers from other Atlus RPG series.
As reported by Persona Central, the first major DLC is the "Shin Megami Tensei IV Costume and BGM Set." This includes 9 costumes from "Shin Megami Tensei IV" and both the Battle BGM and Battle Jingle. It also comes with the Ritual Gauntlets accessory item.
The second DLC is the called "Persona 4: Dancing All Night Costume and BGM Special Set." This is based on a "Persona 4" spin-off that features rhythm-based music and dance mechanics instead of the traditional RPG turn-based gameplay.
It also comes with 9 unique costumes, the BGM, and the battle jingle. Additionally, it comes with the Midnight Bananas accessory item.
The "Persona 4: Arena Ultimax Costumes and BGM Set" is the third DLC announced, and the fourth DLC pack is called "Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Costume and BGM Special Set." Both feature 9 costumes each, a new BGM, and the battle jingle. The former introduces Evoker items, and the latter comes with the Summoning Tubes accessory item.
Other DLC include several new Personas such as Ariadne and Ariadne Picaro, Asterius and Asterius Picaro, Tsukiyomi and Tsukiyomi Picaro, and lastly, the Messiah and Messiah Picaro Personas.
The final DLC sets include a new theme and the fifth difficulty level known as the Challenge difficulty setting.
It is pointed out that the new Challenge difficulty is for free, but the theme costs 200 Yen ($1.99), and the Personas cost 300 Yen or $2.99. All of the costume and BGM set DLCs will cost 800 Yen or roughly $7.99.
All of these expansion packs are currently available in Japan, but it is uncertain if they will also be available in the U.S. and European localized versions which will roll out on Feb. 14, 2017.
