Moira, the latest addition to "Overwatch's" list of playable characters, is now available to players on the Public Test Realm server. Moira was first revealed on Nov. 3 when Play Overwatch uploaded the Introducing Moira trailer on their YouTube Channel.

The trailer begins with a short monologue from Moira herself. "Science can reveal the truths that lie behind these many questions. What we learn can unlock the true potential of humanity." Moira is both a villain and a Geneticist, and she is a support-oriented fighter who wields biotic powers that can be used to either heal allies or injure opponents.

Some of the skills players will be able to utilize when using Moira are Biotic Grasp, Biotic Orb, Fade, and Coalescence. Biotic Grasp enables Moira to sap health from nearby foes and use it to replenish her own health. Biotic Orb allows Moira to toss sphere-like magic that can either heal all nearby allies or activate a decay effect that deals damage to all enemies who come close to the sphere. Fade allows Moira to teleport over short distances. Lastly, Coalescence is a long-ranged attack that heals allies while hurting foes.

Moira's list of attacks makes her a potent healer who has the ability to heal multiple allies at once.

The latest addition to "Overwatch's" playable roster has been available for only a few days, but already, those who want to play as Moira have the option to equip different skins. Most of these are simple recolors of her original in-game outfit, however, the Moon skin, adds a small twist to Moira's getup.

According to Moira's information on the official "Overwatch" website, Moira was a genetic engineer who wanted to rewrite the building blocks of life. This goal sparked up some controversy, and her peers turned against her. What she was doing was dangerous and they wanted no part in it. Her career was on the brink of ruin until she was recruited by Blackwatch where she continued her work.
