Apple is currently under fire with the OS X Yosemite problems, which discourages users from downloading and installing the new desktop OS.

A week after Apple rolled out the OS X Yosemite for desktops and notebooks, the new operating system is criticized due to the issues. Below are the problems and issues found in the new OS X Yosemite.

WiFi issues

Some users reported Wi-Fi issues that emerged after installing the new OS X Yosemite. Users said that the connection crawled or dropped constantly, or did not work at all.

Bluetooth lag

Some users also reported problems in the Bluetooth of their Mac that affects the Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, Apple wireless keyboard, and third-party wireless accessories. Users who do not use non-Apple accessories said issues also emerged on Bluetooth headphones and speakers. Some tried to resolve the issue by resetting their Macs.  Though that resolves the issue temporarily, the problem tends to come back. Others claimed that the Bluetooth problem brought by OS X Yosemite is exclusive to notebooks.

SMS Forwarding

One of the new features of OS X Yosemite is SMS Text Forwarding that allows users to forward the SMS text messages from their phone. The messages can be mirrored to the users' iPad or OS X Yosemite-installed Mac devices. However, some users found the activation process faulty. This can be fixed by activating their email on their phone. To add their email address to the iPhone's iMessage, users can head to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive.

iCloud Drive

Some users claimed that the iCloud Drive is still not working. With the same technology as AirDrop, Apple expanded the functions of its iCloud Drive. Without issues, users should be able to save and access documents on any OS X or iOS devices making it easy for them to save and organize their files.

OS X Yosemite is designed to work hand-in-hand with the latest iOS 8. It is meant to break down the walls between the iOS and OS X, and enable the integration of Apple's desktops and laptops to its iPhone and iPad lines. The new desktop OS packs features such as AirDrop and iCloud Drive.
