'Orange Is The New Black' season 3: 'So much bloodshed,' says actress Natasha Lyonne

"Orange Is The New Black" season 3 will feature more bloodshed, according to actress Natasha Lyonne.

If you think that you have seen a lot of blood in the previous season, expect more next season. When People Magazine asked for any spoilers for the series' next season, Natasha answered, "In three words: So much bloodshed."

The cause of the bloodshed was not specified. It could be a big fight in the prison. It is also possible that someone may die. The bloodshed may involve the show's protagonist Piper Champman played by Taylor Schilling and her partner Alex Vause played by Laura Prepon.

The actress also opened up that she can relate to her character in the series as Nicky Nichols. "Believe me, there's no shortage of things for me to draw on when it comes to Nicky's backstory. But while I was filming a hospital scene [when Nicky undergoes open heart surgery after an overdose] it was weird because I had been through something so similar, but had almost nothing to draw on," Natasha said.

"I had my surgery for the same reason, as a result of drug use. But Nicky's feeling was 'God, I'm still not dead yet?' For me, I had already been doing a pretty decent job of clean living before the procedure. I was like, 'Gosh, I really hope this doesn't take me out.' I'm grateful I'm okay," the actress quickly added.

Natasha Lyonne received her first ever Emmy nomination by portraying former drug-addicted inmate Nicky Nichols in "Orange Is The New Black". She was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

The filming for season 3 has started. According to previous release, Netflix should release the third season in June 2015.
