'One Piece' episode 743 news: Luffy battles Marine Admiral Fujitora Issho

 "One Piece" official website

According to a report from Yibada, Luffy of the Straw Hat Pirates is set to combat Marine Admiral Fujitora Issho in "One Piece" episode 743. But Monkey D. Luffy won't be alone as he will be facing the Marines alongside Kidd and Trafalgar D. Water Law, captain of the North Blue pirates.

The report points out that the Admiral has been contemplating his next moves for a long time and has decided that facing Luffy and Law head to head is the best course of action. He then pursues the Straw Hats, who have escaped the Dressrosa incident and are heading through the Eastern Port.

When the Admiral catches up to them and attempts to stop them permanently, Luffy and the Admiral will find themselves in a stalemate until they come to the decision that fighting is the only way things will end. Luffy will be using the Admiral's impaired vision to his advantage but the Admiral will counteract this with his gravity skills.

The battle between the Admiral and Luffy will be intense, particularly following the fact that the Admiral admittedly helped the Straw Hats when he stopped Doflamingo's allies from pursuing Luffy and his allies. It is also revealed that despite the Admiral having poor eyesight he did sense that Luffy had a kind face.

Despite his admiration and respect for Luffy, the fact remains that the Straw Hats are pirates. According to Anime News Network, it is more likely that the Admiral is merely fulfilling his duty as a Marine and this will see the two come to a massive battle in episode 743.

The report also points out that this battle and the aftermath that follows will open a brand new story arc for "One Piece," hinting that the crew will finally be traveling to a brand new location. Where this leads to is still unknown.
