After painfully waiting for the release of the HTC Nexus 9, some buyers might be obliged to stretch their patience a bit longer than expected.  Due to the popularity of the device, Amazon U.K. is reportedly having some issues with the stock of the new tablet from Google, prompting the retailer to delay the shipping of the device to Dec. 15. The tablet was originally listed to be sent to buyers on Nov. 3.

Apparently, the tablet is also listed in Google Play Store with delivery date on Nov. 3. Of course, priority will be given to the buyers who placed their pre-orders on Google Play Store. So far, reports are claiming that Amazon U.K. is the only seller facing supply problems.

At first, a lot of consumers opted to order in Amazon U.K. because of the next day delivery. However, with this news, some buyers might decide to cancel their pre-orders from the retailer. There is no word yet from other retailers in other countries, especially in the U.S., regarding the supply and shipping date of the HTC Nexus 9.

Meanwhile, there is no word yet from carriers when they will open the pre-orders for the device.

Google Nexus 9 boasts an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with Quad HD (1536 x 2048) screen resolution. It is powered by Nvidia's 64-bit-enabled Tegra K1 chipset with dual-core 2.3 Denver CPU and Kepler DX1 GPU and runs with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, which supports 64-bit chipsets.

The tablet also packs 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage, 8 MP back camera with autofocus and LED flash, 1.6 MP front facing camera, stereo speakers with HTC Boomsound, and a 6700 mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. The 16 GB version of the new Nexus tablet is available for $399.99 and the 32 GB variant for $479.99.
