Normally, Motorola's and Nexus lineup of smartphones and tablets are the first mobile devices to receive the latest operating system update rolled out by Google. However, on this occasion, the Lollipop 5.1 update, which was supposed to be available as a system download for the Nexus 5, 6 and 9 lineup has been delayed. According to Reality Today, the update was supposed to be released during mid of February.

Now, according to the latest report published by Android Geeks, the Lollipop 5.1 update will be releasing in the month of March. Mo Versi, who is the HTC VP of Product Management stated from his official Twitter account that Google's next maintenance release will be arriving arrive in March. The statement was the result of an answer that was delivered to one of his followers when he requested a fix of the capacitive button lights bug for the HTC One M7 Google Play Edition.

The Android Lollipop 5.1 update will provide minor changes compared to the previous rolled out updates, but the core changes will be focused on bug fixes and improving overall system performance. Unfortunately, Android smartphone users who were successfully able to update their devices to the latest version have been complaining of erratic behavior from the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.

According to the information posted on Android Geeks, when users tap the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth text that is present below the toggle, a drop-down menu will pop up that looks similar to the Mobile Data option instead of opening up the settings menu.

When the Lollipop 5.1 update officially gets released in March, it will be rolled out for the Nexus lineup of smartphones and tablets, followed by the Google Play Edition products. For now, ecstatic Android users will have to muster up sufficient patience for another month.
