New app to help dads

Modern-day fathers get a bad rap, and it has often been said in the manner of a joke, that 'Dads need all the help they can get.' Now there's an app for that!

As one of Focus On The Family's all-time best sellers, Arkansas-based pastor and author Dr Robert Lewis has launched a brand-new iPhone/iPad app for dads everywhere.

Building on the message of his popular book, Raising a Modern-Day Knight, the like-named app is an encouraging tool to help fathers be proactive in their parenting.

It aims to connect a dad to his son in practical, life-giving ways by providing eye-opening insights, hands-on applications, and a clear strategy for building a godly, masculine son.

"I find dads all across America asking for help," said Lewis. "They want to be good fathers, but often they need support and creative ideas; this is what we are offering."

The dad app provides parenting tips, proactive advice, encouraging messages, and monthly "Dad Challenges" that equip fathers for parenting well. It aims to give men confidence, strength and a practical strategy to raise their sons into a noble and authentic manhood.

The free RMDK app's focus is to help dads capture key moments in a son's life. Its platform creates a one-of-a-kind way for fathers to record special father-son times by taking pictures and writing personal heart-to-heart notes to their sons.

The RMDK in-app upgrade allows fathers to participate in the monthly RMDK "Dad Challenge." This upgrade offers creative ideas and practical applications using high-impact video content to help dads better connect with their sons. The in-app upgrade also gives access to the creative ideas of other dads through the "Big Wins" page. In addition, the "Scorecard" section helps users keep track of their completed "Dad Challenges".

"Becoming a great dad doesn't just happen," says Lewis. "Great fatherhood is made, it's an acquired skill drawn from the wisdom of others."
