'NCIS: LA' season 6 spoilers: Team goes uncover in Russia in finale episode

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 6 is coming to a close and the finale, titled "Chernoff, K.," will be taking the team all the way to Moscow, Russia as they try to hunt down information tying down Arkady to a missing oil tanker. According to a report from the IBTimes, the episode is going to be rife with explosive cliffhangers.

The report explains that the team needs to take on false identities as they try to uncover the truth in Moscow. Callen, Sam, Deeks, and Kensi have to change their aliases multiple times as they hunt down their suspects. The episode is going to end with cliffhangers regarding the current running plot and the action sequences.

Callen, played by Chris O'Donnell, hasn't been looking into his past for some time but the report continues to explain that this finale brings more information regarding Callen's father. The official synopsis doesn't detail much and it is likely that the season will end with a character cliffhanger as well, hooking fans in to find out more in season 7.

The ongoing story begun several episodes back, in episode 21 "Beacon." The NCIS team discovered that Arkady had once again stepped into trouble regarding sanctions and rules with Russia. Everything started to unfold in "Field of Fire" and will reach its peak in the penultimate episode "Kolcheck, A." which is scheduled to air on May 11.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 6 episode 24 titled "Chernoff, K." is scheduled to air on May 18. The series isn't expected to return until the premiere of season 7 in late fall of this year. However, rumors are spreading about that the cliffhangers this finale will bring may never be resolved as the show is facing possible cancellation.

A report from TV Series Finale states that the ratings for the show have significantly dropped and also points out that the series has been moved to a new Monday timeslot. Ratings are often the deciding factor for a show to be renewed or get slashed off and "NCIS: Los Angeles" is dangerously sitting in the middle.
