"NBA 2K16" may have only launched a month ago but it has been receiving much praise from critics and fans alike and the game continues to grow with new locker codes being released. Previous locker codes unlocked fully powered basketball legends such as Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal and now newer codes have been released.

Initially posted on CheatCC, the new locker codes for November don't unlock newer or more powerful players like previous codes but they do add a signifcant amount of Virtual Currency aka VC, the game's currency used for microtransactions. VC allows players to buy stat boosts, better gear and even players.

SHOOT2MUCH500 unlocks 500 VC while the code #2KTVPOSTSEASON gives 1,000 VC to the player. The codes
#2KTVMELOGEAR, #AIRCRAFTCARRIER and RA9M5-EQZCF-2EYQQ-IF5AF-UEP51 all unlock a random item. PAYRESPECT will unlock the ABA Ball.

It is noted that some codes will eventually expire and a list of expired codes has also been posted on the site.

In order to redeem these locker codes, a player must simply head to the game's main menu, select Options, Features and then Locker Codes. The game will then ask the player to input their locker code. After a short verification process to ensure the locker code is still in effect, the code's rewards will then be given to the player.

The Gospel Herald also posted several in-game cheats which will unlock 5,000 VC instantly. According to the report, a player must simply type a few cheats under the main menu's option bar to instantly gain VC. Some of the cheats listed are "OKFORNBA2K,"  "KEEPONPLAYIN" and "ASMOOTHMOVE."

It is important to note that these codes are not listed anywhere else, even on CheatCC or GameFaqs, and therefore their validity should be treated with a grain of salt. If they do work then they can break the game's balance, allowing players to farm unlimited VC to get better gear and form a better team before playing online matches.
