"NBA 2K16" may have only launched this past September but it has already seen several updates and changes in order to synchronize with the roster changes and performances in the real NBA season. That being said, the game has received a new roster update that now places Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors on top.
According to a report from Operation Sports, Stephen Curry's in-game stats have been boosted enough to give him an overall rating of 95, making him the best player in the current roster. He is closely followed by LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers with an overall rating of 94.
Legendary NBA star Kobe Bryant has gone down, on the other hand, with an overall rating now of 78 to reflect his current performance in the NBA season. He is now on par with his teammates Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams. Other changes are as follows:

Both LeBron James and Stephen Curry need to be unlocked via locker codes. To achieve this, a player must head to the main menu and choose "Options" followed by "Locker Codes" and then enter the following codes to make the players available:

As the 2015-2016 season of the NBA continues it is likely that the developers will once again alter the roster with another update. Players should expect at least one roster update at the beginning of each month.
