The "Naruto Shippuden" anime series is coming to an end, but just like its manga, it will also be building up the events that take place in the epilogue and spin-off series, such as the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" film. In episode 484, the anime will delve into Sasuke's story and his personal journeys.
The episode will be titled "Kibaku Ningen," which translates to "The Detonating Man" or "Exploding Human." In this episode, fans will not yet dive into the main events that lead to the series' finale, but it will be based on the story of the spin-off novel, "Sasuke Shinden: The Book of Sunrise."
In this episode, Sasuke travels alone as he tries to not only atone for his sins but also to unravel the mysteries of Kaguya Otsutsuki. According to Game N Guide, it will be contemplative episode as it focuses on Sasuke while he reflects on the mistakes he has made in the past, his relationship with his brother Itachi, and his friendship with Naruto.
His story arc is not going to be completed in just one episode, however. Previous episodes tackled two character perspectives in a single episode, but given that 484 is based on the spin-off novel, the report states the plot will stretch across four episodes.
Episode 485 will follow, and its title approximately translates to "Colosseum." As mentioned, this will continue Sasuke's story and will set up the events that will conclude the series. Rumors suggest that the studios will then begin to adapt the "Boruto: The Next Generation" manga in 2017, although this has yet to be confirmed.
"Naruto Shippuden" episode 484 was originally scheduled to air on Nov. 17, but it has since been delayed to Dec. 1. Episode 485 will then follow on Dec. 8. No official explanation has been released as to why the dates have been pushed back.
