Moto X+1 release date was reported to take place next month alongside Motorola's smartwatch Moto 360.
Although Motorola has not made an official announcement yet, Moto X+1 is expected to be unveiled in August. The handset will be accompanied by the company's smartwatch. However, the details of the supposed launch are still unknown.
It was initially reported that Moto X2 release date will be in August or September. If rumors proved to be true, the Moto X2 will battle with other flagship smartphones, including handsets from Apple and Samsung. Even the company's smartwatch will have a head on battle with other wearables from its competitors. Motorola's official announcement of the Moto 360 backed up the rumored release date this summer.
Moto X+1, also dubbed as Moto X2, was reported to have appeared in a video clip. The handset was covered with Saran wrap to conceal its real identity. The video hinted that the next gen Moto X handset will come with a 1080p Full HD display and slimmer bezel.
Meanwhile, a Brazilian online store allegedly leaked the specs and features of Moto X+1. The said web site showed that the handset will pack a 5.2" display that offers 1080x1920p resolution. This is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD support, 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, and 2900mAh battery.
On the other hand, Moto 360 is the first smartwatch to sport a round face design, which is claimed to be one of the best designs among Android devices so far. It will compete with LG's G Watch and Samsung's Gear Live. Both smartwatches packed a rectangular design.
"Moto 360 sets itself apart with a design that reimagines time for the modern era - a distinctive round display, carefully chosen materials, and fine craftsmanship all while keeping you on track and up to date without taking you out of the moment," Motorola's blog post states.
