Polyarc Games' rodent, adventure game "Moss" -- designed exclusively for the PlayStation virtual reality (VR) platform -- is set for a much-anticipated debut next week.

The official announcement, which dropped on the PlayStation blog, confirms the launch of the game to be on Feb. 27, Tuesday next week.

Alongside this surprise declaration, Sony also launched the official trailer of the game where it features the titular character of the game -- a female mouse named Quill.

In the trailer, it is evident that the primary premise of the whole game will be on the fantasy route seeing as there are a lot of magical orbs floating around.

Aside from the overall theme, the trailer also shares glimpses of battle sequences, which by the looks of it seems pretty intuitive and exciting. Players will be playing in third-person, and will be helping Quill navigate throughout the vast terrain of the game.

Before all this, "Moss" first came into the scene during E3 2017, where Sony and Polyarc Games announced the game to be in development, sharing a sneak preview -- as per usual.

Gaming websites had nothing else but praises for the title, when it debuted on June during E3 2017 fair.

IGN described the upcoming title as a "well-thought-out" game that does not perfectly go with the PSVR platform without looking too gimmicky.

Twinfinite also had nice words for the game, they said that "Moss" gives needed "credibility" to the more-often-than-not neglected third-person genre. They also noted that the title was aesthetically pleasing and sound all throughout --- with a charming character that slowly grows on the user.

"Moss" is currently an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 console. No news about possible plans of porting to other VR platforms are available.
