'Mortal Kombat X' DLC characters list now includes Tremor

Mortal Kombat X's new playable character Tremor

Tremor officially becomes a playable character in the latest "Mortal Kombat" installment.

In a post on his Twitter account Monday, NetherRealm Studio's creative director Ed Boon announced that the fourth and final character in the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat DLC Pack will come out today, July 21.

According to Boon, who is also the co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, the "Tremor Bundle" from the Kombat DLC will be available today for those who purchased the $30 Kombat Pack. It will come with the "Klassic Skins Pack 2," which includes new skins intended for Quan Chi, Kung Lao, and Jax.

However, those who have no Kombat Pack but would still like to use Tremor in their games must wait for another week before they will be able to buy the entire Tremor Bundle, which costs $7.99. Those who want to buy Tremor separately only have to pay $4.99, while those who want just the Klassic Skins Pack 2 will only have to pay $3.99.

Boon's announcement also came with an exciting trailer that shows Tremor's abilities to crush and pound his opponents with ease using his Earth magic.

Tremor debuted in "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces" back in 2000. But this time, the Black Dragon ninja becomes a full-fledged playable character. He is the last to be featured in the popular Kombat Pack season-pass bundle. The first one to be released was "Friday the 13th" character Jason Voorhees, then followed by Predator after a week. Tanya from "Mortal Kombat 4" was also released under the same DLC pack.

There is also something for those who are waiting for free DLC today. The "Klassic Fatalities Pack 2," which features four new fatalities for Kitana, Jax, Kung Lao, and Mileena, is also coming out alongside the Tremor Bundle.

Boon also announced that a Kombat Kast is scheduled to air today on twitch.tv/netherrealm beginning 3:00 CDT.
