The video, which released only four weeks ago, was added to YouTube.com where it garnered "Director Videos" positioning and has been viewed by more than 50,000 visitors on the site alone.

Since "How to Say Goodbye" debuted on YouTube.com, visitors have submitted heartfelt comments expressing how they've been moved by the song and video:

Our youngest is getting married this year. Thank you for capturing and expressing my feelings on this so well. . . especially seeing/remembering the child they were in the adult they have become. Thank you for my happy tears. - Howlinatthemoon

You did it again Smitty! Do you enjoy making graduation ceremony attendants cry? - polancopower

Written with long-time friend, Amy Grant, "How to Say Goodbye" was inspired by Smith's oldest daughter Whitney, who will wed this summer.

In April, Smith joined an elite group of music industry figures when he was inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame. The induction ceremony took place at the Hall of Fame Park in downtown Nashville during the GMA Music Week.
