Michael Jackson new album Xscape tracklist 2014: Deluxe edition pre-orders stars, set for May 15 release date,

Michael Jackson new album 'Xscape'

You may think you know every song the late King of Pop ever created, but a new album will make you feel otherwise. Michael Jackson's latest album, 'Xscape' is set to release May 15 and it includes a collection of eight previously recorded, unreleased tracks.

So who's responsible for releasing fresh Jackson sounds for the public's ears? The project's executive producer and label CEO, L.A. Reid took Jackson's completed track vocals then gave each recording a contemporary feel. Also involved in the project's execution is the album's lead producer Timbaland, with contributing work from John McCalin, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins and Jerome "Jroc" Harmon.

"Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with," Reid said in a statement on Monday. "We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world."

Billboard Magazine reports that Epic Records will release a deluxe edition of the album that will include all the original recordings. Both the standard and Deluxe Editions are available Tuesday (April 1) for pre-order on iTunes and other music purchasing sites.

'Xscape' takes its name from one of the songs on the album. Jackson's album titles were traditionally named after a featured song.

Michael Jackson's estate along with the partnership of Epic Records will release a track list and more information in the next few weeks, according to Billboard. A Sony global campaign will also follow.
