Mexico vs Costa Rica live stream (ESPN): Watch Gold Cup 2015 football preparation friendly online

Mexico will play Costa Rica on Saturday as they look to get their preparations for the Gold Cup 2015 tournament underway. There will be increased pressure on Mexico to not only do well, but also win the Gold Cup this year, after Miguel Herrera decided not to select a host of his senior players for the Copa America 2015 tournament, instead sending more junior players while saving his best squad for the Gold Cup. Today they will play Costa Rica with a start time of 6 p.m. ET from the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The game can be watched on TV on the ESPN 2 network or online through live stream via the link below.

Mexico had a terrible Copa America in June, which wasn't entirely surprising seeing as most of their top players never traveled to Chile for the tournament.

However, that means more pressure will be on them when their Gold Cup 2015 campaign starts in July.

Today they will play their CONCACAF rivals, hoping to put on a solid display and start building confidence and momentum to hit the ground running when things kick off in a few weeks.

Most consider the United States and Mexico to be the top two teams for the Gold Cup this year. Mexico were North America's most successful team at last summer's World Cup in Brazil, and that will help them believe they can go all the way this year in the CONCACAF competition.

However, Costa Rica have emerged in recent years as a very strong team and should be more than enough to give Mexico a stiff challenge as they prepare for the competition proper next month. Costa Rica will believe they are even contenders for this year's Gold Cup and they will not just be there to make up the numbers.

Injuries have hit Costa Rica's preparations somewhat with Óscar Duarte, Bryan Oviedo and Keylor Navas all set to miss out. However, they will be confident that they can give as good as they get against Mexico.

Today's big game between Mexico and Costa Rica has a scheduled start time of 6 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN 2 network or online through live stream by clicking here.
