"Mass Effect 4" is still in development. That is what perhaps best describes the status of the game which should be direly disappointing to players who were hoping to see the game released this year.
The latest news about the game is that "Mass Effect 4" creative director Mac Walters is seeking recommendations on what features gamers would like to see on the new version. And while seeking ideas does seem to point that there is nothing in the works for the game for now, there have been some viable suggestions coming from the fans.
Among them include more side-guests, lovable characters, galactic mysteries and a more realistic universe.
Further requests include fans' desire to possibly go full biotic, while another voices out if it would be possible to modify a character's appearance.
That and surely a whole lot more are bound to come their way and until they close the doors for player feedback, the longer the wait when it comes to the game being released.
In reality, there are no official details about "Mass Effect 4" although there were rumors about a fresh protagonist who may likely take the place of Commander Shepard. It will reportedly be a totally new game so this angle should be interesting to follow.
Other than that, the only other info about the game was the one in 2013 when executive producer Casey Hudson and BioWare's Edmonton and Montreal boss Aaryn Flynn tweeted that they were able to play hands-on with a playable version of the new game.
Strangely, that was two years ago and Flynn seemed to be pretty impressed with what he was able to play.
So if that were the case, what is the reason for the holdup?
Regardless and if ever the game does make a sudden debut later on this year, expect it to be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
