Manny Pacquiao net worth; Wants next fight to be with Floyd Mayweather after Algieri victory?

Manny Pacquiao is undoubtedly one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world today. With numerous titles under his belt, it just makes sense to think about what Pacman's net worth is right now. How much did he earn in the Algieri fight? How much tax will he be paying?

Before the Algieri fight, CelebrityNetWorth.com listed Pacman at $100 million net worth. However, this isn't too big given that Pacquiao is now facing tax issues in the Philippines amounting to a whopping $75 million.  Robert Woods of Forbes gave a more detailed scene of what's happening with Pacquiao's taxes.

"Pacquiao claims he paid his income taxes for 2008 and 2009 in the United States, and that a two-country treaty protects the cash from being taxed twice. But the Philippine government has been steadily moving to collect. The current flap is over the bond serving as alternative security."

According to USA Today, Pacquiao is guaranteed $20 million minimum for the Algieri fight, which is great for Pac-man.

Bob Arum, head promoter and CEO of boxing promotions company Top Rank, said, "By fighting in Macau, Manny is not subject to United States income tax. Most of that would be at 39.6 percent. We are talking millions of dollars he can save."

Talking about Pacquiao's financial issues, there's no doubt that a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. can help turn things around for him. This may just be the fight of the century. The purse will be huge and selling tickets will be very easy.

Pacquiao expressed his desire to fight Mayweather to New York Daily Times, saying, "The fans want to see us fight, and for that reason I want that fight, too. If he wants to fight in Las Vegas, that is fine with me. Random drug testing? I've been doing that for quite some time, so no problem. He wants to have the bigger purse? Fine with me."

Pacquiao said that he will have a "heavy heart" if they don't fight, but his conscience will be clear.

Meanwhile, if the super bout doesn't happen, Pacquiao should handle his money better, implied Bleacher Report. Due to lack of proper money management, Pacquiao lost $300 million in his boxing earnings in the past.
