Madden NFL 15 demo for Xbox One EA Access Members, not for PS4 or PS3

No public demo will be released for the Madden NFL 15 prior to its launch on August 26. According to reports, only Xbox One subscribers who have the Electronic Arts (EA) Access memberships will be granted early access.

Based on the terms of EA Access, which is a subscription program for Xbox One users, the members of the group will be granted unlimited access to various games for $5 monthly. Players may also opt to sign up for the subscription for $30 per year. Apart from the access granted to a selection of games, the members will also be able to get hold of various perks, such as discounts on DLC and early access to certain upcoming games.

In a statement from a representative of EA, the move to eliminate the demo was made to further ensure that the company will be able to develop a superior quality game for their players.

"The difficult decision not to do a demo for Madden was strictly a result of the team's commitment to deliver the highest quality game possible," EA said.

"We chose to put 100% of our development resources toward the full game," he added.

This declaration was rooted from the response of EA Sports community manager Andrew Johnson to a question asked on Twitter.

"There will not be a Madden NFL 15 demo," Johnson tweeted to his followers.

The Twitter post was then confirmed by an EA representative who verified to Gamespot that the social media announcement was true.

Needless to say, the reactions of fans to this announcement have been mostly negative. This decision will hinder players to actually sample the game prior to purchasing it. In addition, EA Access is solely offered to Xbox One players. Hence, fans using other platforms such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 will be unable to try the game beforehand.

Apart from Madden NFL 15, the EA Access members may also exclusively get hold of early access on the first batch of games offered by the site. These games include FIFA 15, NBA Live 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
