A bug is present in the MacBook Pro models that are angering a lot of users, but Apple reportedly continues to ignore the complaints about the issue.
Apple has come under fire for allegedly ignoring a major bug found on MacBook Pro models. Users criticized that the company has not done anything although they alerted Apple with a slew of complaints. The bug causes the system to crash and the graphics or images will not sometimes load or be shown. Some users reported that the issue persisted for several years.
Apple is reported to be aware of the problem but denied to address the problem properly. According to the forums, most laptops that experience the bug are the 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models released in early 2011.
The problem was first reported in October 2013. Users reported system crashes and problems on the displays where the screen goes blank. Last May, there was a spike in complaints such as these. According to the unnamed sources cited by Apple Insider, there are currently no immediate plans in fixing this problem.
The new version of MacBook Pro and Air is reportedly to be released next year, not this year. It was previously reported that the new MacBooks will arrive later this year in the fall but the delay is supposed to be due to the release of Intel's new Broadwell chips. According to reports, the first batch of the Core "M" chips will be shipped by the end of this year.
MacBook Pro 2014 is rumored to pack a touchscreen feature. Moreover, the laptop is also purported to pack a better battery. Aside from a touchscreen feature and longer battery life, Apple is also expected to include the new 14-nanometer Broadwell chips from Intel on the two laptops.
Earlier this year, Apple recently unveiled the refreshed models of MacBook Pro with Retina display models, but they ship with a slightly upgraded version of Intel Haswell processors.
