MacBook Pro and Macbook Air 2014 launch pushed delayed due to Intel Broadwell chips

The 2014 version of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air release date was delayed due to the later release of Intel Broadwell chips.

Reports claimed that Apple postponed the release of this year's version of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air and that it will be launched much later. It seemed that the laptop will pack the Broadwell chips from Intel since Apple is willing to delay the release of its laptop for the processors, according to the Taiwanese media source, Economic Daily News.

The report added that Apple will not be able to ship the latest versions of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air until late 2014 or early 2015 with Intel's 14-nanometer Broadwell chips. The chipsets in question faced numerous delays due to the persistent issues that Intel fixed. Latest rumors indicated that Intel's U series Broadwell chips destined for Apple's upcoming MacBooks may not ship until February next year.

The MacBook Pro 2014 is reportedly set to pack Intel Broadwell chips, a fanless design and a new trackpad. The new MacBook and 12-inch MacBook Air is in lieu of Intel's announcement of its new 14nm Core M Broadwell processor.

The announcement of the chip maker company states: "The Intel® CoreTM M processor will deliver the most energy-efficient Intel Core processor in the company's history. The majority of designs based on this new chip are expected to be fanless ..."

However, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said that the production of the said processors was delayed but the chips will surely arrive this year. He guaranteed that the chips will arrive just in time for the gift giving season.

The new MacBooks release date was also reported to arrive in time for the holiday season, but may come later. However, Apple has not announced the details of its upcoming devices as well as its timeline in launching these gadgets.
