MacBook Pro 2016 rumors: 13-inch model could release in September

The MacBook Pro 2016 may be releasing very soon. According to a report from Digi Times, the notebook hinge manufacturerJarllytec has already begun shipping parts to Apple since May. As stated in a report from MacRumors this indicates that the company is already working on the new MacBook Pro and this may launch soon.

According to the report, it is unlikely that the new MacBook Pro will be unveiled or launched at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which is held this June but it may be released shortly after. MacRumors states that consumers can expect Apple to utilize a staggered release for the different versions of the new MacBook Pro.

It is further explained that the 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro may be released by September. This is normally when Apple launches several products together and is also the estimated launch date for the iPhone 7 and a new iPad, presumably an updated iPad Pro or iPad Air 3.

Following its launch the report states that the 15-inch MacBook Pro might release shortly after, most likely in October or early November. At the latest both models are expected to launch before the holidays ending this year.

It is noted that the manufacturer is shipping metal injection mold-made (MiM) hinges. This type of hinge allows a laptop to be ultra-thin and is a strong indication that Apple is aiming to make the next MacBook Pro lineup as thin as possible, despite the fact that there is the MacBook Air which is identified for how thin and lightweight it is.

MacRumors also states that a more definitive release date has yet to be determined.

The MacBook Pro is rumored to come with a new OLED touch panel display that may replace the traditional function keys on the MacBook's keyboard. Touch ID and a more powerful processor are also rumored to be included.
